I hate holes. For the life of me, I can't figure out why the fuck they are so popular. I always have this terrible fear that I will suddenly stick my finger in the hold and tickle...
And then, yes. They will know just how psycho I really am.
I love holes in jeans. I haven't been able to get a pair of jeans to wear to that point for years - first I was too fat and the arse ripped out first and now I keep on losing weight so I get a better fitting size before they get a chance to wear in.
Well, at the risk of sounding stuffy (I hope I don't sound stuffy!) I know that I'm definitely too old to wear jeans with holes in them, but I understand their appeal for the young. I still love to wear jeans, though, and I buy mine second-hand...it's just that I believe in covering up a bit more as I age...
I wear my jeans out around the house and then when they have good holes in the knees and butt they get promoted to stage-wear. You can't play a good guitar solo in new jeans.
I wear my jeans till they turn to rags and then mourn the loss when they finally give up and die. I really should buy two pairs of all of my jeans, you just never know when your going to pick a winner or when your going to get stuck with jeans that you couldn't wear down with a road scraper.
Terroni dear, when I was your age, I wore out a pair of blue jeans and then cut them off and turned them into shorts which I wore for another few years. At my age however, I leave the jean-wearing to my 74 year old mother - my trousers are various colours of stretch jeans rather than denim. For example, I am wearing purple ones right now - hanging out in Sydney waiting for our flight to Tahiti tomorrow. More later ...
I love my jeans, but I pretty much never wear holes in the knees anymore. Frayed at the hems and that's about it. I don't like the look of jeans that were clearly pre-ripped - that's just silly.

ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I've worn a hole in my jeans. I don't get to wear mine too much. I've saved the old good ones.

ReplyDeleteI never wear my holes in the right places. :> And I wouldn't buy pre-worn jeans either.
