With friends like this
Tonight, at the grocery store, buying a study snack. I don't even remember what Graci and I were talking about...
I said, "I just told you that."
She said, "Yeah, uh...I don't really listen to you. Mostly, I just watch your mouth move."
(Me, standing in the cookie aisle, with a look of shock and horror, and Graci laughing.)
And then, in an attempt to somehow make that better, she said, "Well, you talk so much."
I told her she's lucky I'm sharing my cookies. Who the hell knows if she heard that.

Hmmm. Being a good listener is a highly refined skill.
What was that? Sorry I just read it and it didn't go in...
Seriously, she's a good friend to have - share your cookies and she can watch you chew instead!
She is a good one--makes me laugh.
that's the best! when you are close enough that you can joke like that and know the other one gets it and won't be offended.
And just watching your mouth move is also slightly kinky.
I think it is a pretty good sign. Mainly because so much of what Bing says just goes right in one ear and out the other with me. I have had whole conversations with her (usually driving someplace in the car, she likes to talk and I do my best thinking in moving vehicles...you learn the art of nodding..)
And, hey, I like her just fine.
Nice to see that when Graci is caught in one of those awkward moments where you have no answer because you weren't listening that honesty was applied.
Means you can trust her.
That's funny - and the kind of thing you'd say to a new girlfriend/boyfriend.
Ha,ha,ha,ha. I usually have slightly tact in not actually admitting such things, most of the time. :>
I have a friend who sometimes calls me from work and talks to me like an Airline Customer (she's a flight attendant). I can't stand it! I'm always tempted to say something really rude and crude to shock her out of it because it really get's my goat! :>

At least she was honest. I hate bad listeners.
