Once again, she's confused about the job description

Question for Sarah Palin from a 3rd grader: "What does the Vice President do?"
Sarah Palin: "They're in charge of the United States Senate, so, if they want to, they can really get in there with the Senators and make a lot of good policy changes."

Uh...no, no, they can't. Or, I should say, no he or she can't, as Vice President is actually singular.

The United States Constitution (I found a copy Bush hadn't quite burned yet. Singed, but not totally fried.) Article I, Section 3: The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

Since you read anything anyone puts in front of you (that is what you said, right?), I implore the people who put things in front of you to replace that Cheerios box with a copy of the United States Constitution.

Read it. And then, explain to me how exactly you're going to "make a lot of good policy changes" without a vote in the Senate.

At first I thought... why do they keep letting her on camera?

And then I thought... forget the camera... she could be in the freaking WHITE HOUSE.

I have come to believe that she is the worst thing about John McCain.

(And that's saying something, because there are lots of parts of John McCain that I'm not fond of.)

She'll bring a gun.

God, that woman scares me.

Perhaps she should have read the job description before she signed on. Or perhaps she's just counting on John McCain to die.

I love the way you make potentially catastrophic things sound amusing little T.
From this distance I think it might be a very good idea if she reads the constitution. Good for you for beating her to it and telling the world about it!

T, if she would have no power or influence then why oh why was everyone screaming about Dick Chenney running things? Just a question. There is more power in her position that the Constitution might insinuate especially these days.

Dick Cheney didn't run the Senate. Dick Cheney ran the President (because the President is a half-wit and Dick Cheney is an evil genius).

I'm not worried that she'll run the President, I'm worried that she'll be the President. I would really prefer that we not have four more years of an administration whose recycling program consists of using the Constitution as toilet paper.

You're darn tootin, we're scared. You betcha.

And she is a much better shot than Cheney. If you go huntin' barr with her, she isn't going to accidentally shoot you, she'll mean business.
