Surprise

Went downstairs to do laundry.

Came back up to find, "Hey, I'm your new roommate! Did they tell you I was coming?"

"Um, no. No, they did not. If they had told me, I wouldn't have left my bra on the couch. Yeah, that bra. The one your boyfriend's sitting on."

Shut up. So how does this work? Your school sets you up with a place to live and your roommates?

I might have too many control issues for that arrangement...

I am in a two bedroom apartment and originally expected to have a roommate. I was told that no one was coming, though, so I sort of just took over the common area. Then, I walked in today to find a woman and her boyfriend standing in my...uh, I mean, our living room.

They actually seem like they may be fun, though. She's a resident. He's an attending. They are both in anesthesia.

We just spent the last 20 minutes swapping "Holy shit, one day in the OR..." stories.

I so LOVE the phrase "They're both in anesthesia", T. I just wish there were circumstances where I could use it.
I'm glad your roomie seems fun.

Hee hee, poor old Dive. I have 3 friends who are anaethetists and at least one who has recently been "under" anaethesia!! Sorry little Terroni - you guessed it - I'm back home again and have been reintroduced to my computer.

Was it the red satin bra because if you are going to have that happen, you really, really want it to be the red satin one and not the one that is fraying in the straps and dingy white.

Of course it wasn't the red one, Maria. Whenever you really, really want it to be that one, it's not that one.
