Kite

Yesterday, I flew a kite. And, as you can see here, spent a good bit of time staring directly into the sun. (These retinas aren't just going to burn themselves.)

This was actually one of the better moments, preceded by 20 minutes of running around an open lawn yelling, "Fly, damn you!"

I once tried to teach Liv to fly a kite and we ended up being coached by a little asian man who didn't speak English but kept gesturing frantically at me.

I never did know what he was saying, but I didn't get the kite up in the air either. Towards the end, he looked like he wanted to spank me.

My kite flying usually goes like this, "Yay!.... damn!"

You wouldn't have had any trouble keeping your kite airborne here this past weekend; in fact we had our third annual kite festival.

Oh how wonderful; you in shorts flying a kite! There's a little kid buried deep inside of us and when we let it out for some fun, we know that things are ok in the world. Lovely!

Is that you little Terrones? Darn, I tried to click on the picture. I would NEVER have tried to fly a kite if I didn't have children. I guess some of us need kids to ever do life stuff. :)

flying kites is one of my favorite things. Katie always laughs at me at how often I suggest it, whenever the wind is up.

Alas, I tend to spend most of the time running around with my hands in the air. The wind always seems stronger than it is.
