Drained, yet still so full of snot

I've got absolutely nothing to say that anyone else is interested in hearing. In fact, I'm not even all that interested in hearing it. But, before I can go to sleep, in an effort to unload some of the ughhhh that I have wrapped up like the rubber band inside a golf ball and shoved into the now screaming muscle in my shoulder (what...isn't that how you store your ughhhh?), I shall now commence to bitching.

I feel like shit. My nose is somehow both full of snot and dry as a bone. The skin between my nose and my upper lip is beet red--rubbed raw from the cheap-ass tissues at work. My throat feels like someone is sanding it down. My ears are full of mucus. My eyes are burning.

And Peds? Today, the only thing worse than kids was their parents.

Parents who say things like, "Well, the eczema gets better when I use the cream. But, then it's bad when I don't use it. But, I don't really use it because I'm not sure if she really needs it. But, she is better when I use it. But, then I'm not really sure if I should use it. But, the doctor told me I should use it on her twice a day. So, do you think I should use it?"

Have you ever wanted to beat someone to death with a tube of eczema cream?
No?
Well, congratulations.
You're a better person than I am.

Ahhh...
I suddenly feel much better.
And now, to bed.

Poor little T. You certainly have a dose of that virus so bed is probably the best place to be for both you and your patients. Hope you feel better soon little one. And as for that mother, I'd probably want to do something else with that tube of ecsema cream. Is that how you spell it???

I store my uuuggghhh in my lower back, as for the eczema woman, I wanted to beat her to death with the cream just reading about it. Good lord, hasn't she ever heard of cause and effect?? Sorry about your "nasty virus" when I was sick a couple months ago the only thing that helped were those vicks shower soothers things. They have a vanilla one now...

Ha ha. I deal with the ental health version of this all the time - it helps when I do what we've talked about, but I'm not sure I really need to.

Hope you get better soon.

You make about the hundred and fifty seventh person I have seen this week with that virus. It is indeed nasty and wouldn't it have felt so lovely to just forget to cover your mouth when talking to that person.

You could have said, "When I cough, I could forget to cover and then spread my germs, but I dunno...sometimes I just do not cover up and then well, I suppose germs do get spread. A doctor told me to cover up my mouth and I guess I could do that, but I dunno...do you think I should?"

I hear ya and feel your pain!! some of the adults are worse than the kids when it come to making decisions. If there's one thing I can't stand is a parent who goes on and on but refuses to follow freaking directions.
