Sunshine

I called and left my dad a message telling him I was tired and frustrated.

He called me back and left a voice mail...

Hey, you used to like this when you were real little.
You used to smile.

And then, he sang,
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away.

I love you, babe.

I'm such a lucky daughter.
Incredibly, amazingly lucky.

Wow Terroni, yes you are indeed lucky. Cherish that little one - today when you are tired and frustrated - and always.

How sweet. My mom taught that song to my daughter when she was two. I love that song.

That was the first song that I ever sang to Liv. So...yeah...got me all teary and sentimental and then a hot flash tumbled in just to make sure that I was good and rumpled.....

PS...my father would never do that in a million years. So, you are very fortunate. My mother tells me every day how much I mean to her.
